Counseling Philosophy

​I believe we all thrive as our best selves when we have the tools we need for success. While a diagnosis and a treatment plan help guide the care you receive from me, I also integrate the Wellness Model and utilize individualized therapy to ensure that your goals are met in a holistic way because "you are the boss of you!" 
​
My therapeutic approaches are within the Humanistic framework and include Adlerian and Child-Centered Play Therapy (with supervision), Somatic Psychotherapy, Self-Compassion Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Brief Counseling.

​I am a wife and a mother. I am a certified yoga instructor and avid yogi. Mindful movement and breathing and Somatic Psychotherapy techniques have served as my main coping strategies throughout the years. Whether on or off the mat, I utilize my mind and body practice to help me build concentration, compassion, motivation, and connection.
